Why one should meditate at a specific time

Meditation is an experience that makes you realize who you are. One can see life minus the perceptions and experience joy and peace within oneself. Whether it is a mantra meditation, breathing meditation, or a guided spiritual meditation, the practice of meditation is all about connecting spiritually.

Meditation is practiced across religions and cultures nowadays for stress relief and relaxation. Some people use it to cleanse their minds and the others use it to deepen their connection to something greater than themselves.

Swami Sivananda has said the ideal time to practice yoga and meditation between 3 a.m. to 5.a.m. (ideally before sunrise) where the Sun is at a 60-degree angle to the Earth. These hours are considered to be “magic hours” where one is at peace and can connect to the energy of the universe.

Meditating regularly and at the same time every day will make meditation easy. Just as we eat breakfast every day at a certain time, we must also meditate regularly at the same time. Regularity creates a biorhythm, establishing a biological clock within which will help us sink into deep meditation from the very moment we begin.
