Understanding the meaning of life – Part 2
Elon Musk was once asked how he would react if his daughter married a commoner. He said, Wealth is not about how much money is there in the bank but, wealth is all about what you do with it. 90 percent of the lottery winners end up losing the money they won in five years. Surprising statistics.
Borrowing a leaf from Elon Musk, I would further say, one has to pursue true freedom instead of pursuing a mundane life filled with jealousy, anger, greed, money, and hatred. When one chooses true freedom over worldly materialistic objects, one achieves a true sense of freedom. Free from the worldly attachments, one can attempt to attain freedom from birth and death, from disease and hunger and eventually reach the foot of the Supreme Lord.
It is said, one never understands life till the last very moment of one’s death. In a flash, they then realize what they were meant to do instead of what they did. Now, by one following Spirituality, Meditation, Sadhana and chanting the Lords’ name, one can realize their true meaning of what they were meant to do while living and breathing.
Every human being goes through countless births and deaths trying to understand this. Many Saints have come to earth to tell this only and many more will come in the future saying these very words only.
As Swami Sivananda says, “Life is a great opportunity provided by the Lord for His children to evolve into Himself.”
