Understanding the meaning of life – Part 1
There are many social media posts talking of Karna and Krishna having a conversation wherein, Karna talks of the many injustices he faced in his life. Krishna, the supreme lord in turn says, he was born in a jail, he could never spend time with his birth parents, was born on a stormy night and his very own maternal uncle wanted him killed. Despite many adversities, he overcame everyone of them never revealing his true self and lived like a mere human being spreading joy and happiness everywhere.
I am not addressing what the social media posts are talking of but, am attempting to draw an example of Lord Krishna and how one can understand the journey of life.
Life is a journey filled with emotions. Everyone undergoes emotions be it joy or sadness in some form or the other. Take life as it comes.
Swami Sivananda says, “Life is God in expression. Life is joy. Life is flooding of the bliss of the Spirit. Life is like a river. All rivers are restless until they meet the ocean and become one with the ocean. In the same manner, we will be restless until we find the truth about ourselves.“ says Swami Sivananda in Bliss Divine.
Perfectly said by Swamiji, life is all this and more. The sole object of life is the attainment of Self Realization or absolute freedom. One has to be patient and calm. Go with the flow. Meditate and have a higher goal in life.
Follow the part of spirituality in your daily life for one need not give up a career or leave the house to understand life. One can pursue worldly activities and yet understand the meaning of Life.
